Player Biography
Jay Bruce, Cincinnati Reds
@JayABruce
The 12th overall pick in the 2005 Amateur Draft, Jay Bruce has lived up to lofty expectations since day one. An All-Star in each of his three full Minor League seasons, Bruce was Baseball America's Minor League Player of the Year in 2007.
Bruce made his Major League debut in May of 2008, but it was his 2010 campaign that established him as one of the brightest young stars in all of baseball. His walk-off home run clinched the Reds' first division title since 1995, and he was rewarded with a multi-year contract extension of over $50 million dollars prior to the 2011 season.

I can call Matt about anything imaginable and he will help me out with it. A few months before the 2005 draft, I was with the Boras agency. The Boras Corporation is great for certain people, just not for me. When I switched over to Sosnick Cobbe, I saw the immediate differences I was looking for in an agency. They treat everyone in the company like family, and they are there for anything I need. I feel very strongly about this agency and its presence in the baseball world for many years to come.
