An Arizona native and former 2nd round pick of the Tampa Bay Rays, Jason Pridie was a prominent figure in the trade that brought Matt Garza to the Tampa Bay.
Jason made his Major League debut with the Minnesota Twins on September 3rd, 2009. He was later claimed by the Mets prior to the 2010 season, but was hampered by injuries. Recalled to the Big Leagues in 2011, Jason recorded both his first Major League hit and home run in an April series against the Diamondbacks.
Jason now provides outfield depth for the Philadelphia Phillies.
