Originally a 13th round pick of the New York Yankees out of the University of Oklahoma in 2006, Daniel McCutchen was dealt to the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2008.  After a stellar Triple A campaign which yielded a 13-6 record and a 3.47 ERA, Daniel McCutchen made his Major League debut on August 31, 2009. Aside from pitching six solid innings, McCutchen also recorded his first Major League hit and RBI in the contest.

McCutchen was recently recalled and has become a stable figure in the Pirates' bullpen.
