Reno, NV native Joe Wieland was a 4th-round selection of the Texas Rangers in the 2008 Amateur Draft. Wieland, along with fellow Sosnick Cobbe client Robbie Erlin, was dealt to the Padres at the 2011 Trade Deadline.
A recent call-up to the Major Leagues, Joe made his Big League debut on April 14th of 2012.
