Darin Downs, Detroit Tigers
Originally a 5th round selection by the Cubs in the 2003 Amateur Draft, Darin Downs was a Minor League All Star in 2005 and 2009, and was MLB.com's High-A Starting Pitcher of the Year in 2010. After taking a line drive off the side of his head in 2009, Downs pitched his way back and made his Major League debut on July 3, 2012, pitching an inning of scoreless relief.
